Create a Blog/Site
If are looking to earn more than just spending money you are going to need to start accumulating referrals. The best way to do it is by creating your own blog or site. Here I will show you how to get started, what to insert, and how to promote your blog or site. Getting Started
First, you must decide what you are going to vouch. Some people just do CashCrate because it is the best site to get the most from referrals, others do every site that has a referral system. Whatever you decide will help you determine what best suits you, a blog or a site. If you are going to promote one survey site or just the PTC sites, a blog is what you need. The reason is because a blog has everything in one page and putting too much information will not make it look attractive, usually. It is better to have one thing and explain it really well than have multiple things that just cover the basics. Trust me, I speak from experience. I started off with a blog that included many survey sites and it was okay. I had a poll questioning how useful my blog was and over 30% of visitors said it was somewhat helpful to not helpful at all. So to get your blog, these are a few good sites you can use: Blogger (recommended) WordPress MyBlogSite I used blogger back when I had my blog because it was very easy to use and you can earn 100% of your google adsense revenue. If you don't know what google adsense is, it is the program that can give you advertising revenue everytime an ad is clicked on your site. If you choose blogger they can guide you to putting adsense on your blog. If you need a site, you can get either get free web hosting or paid web hosting. Here are some advantages/disadvantages of free hosting and paid webhosting: Advantages/Disadvantages of Free Hosting (+) It's free (+) Very easy to use; perfect for beginners (-) Ad revenues goes to hosting company, and not to you (-)There limitations in terms of restriction on bandwidth (-) Domain name is actually a sub-domain that has the name of the hosting company as part of the name. ex. freewebs.com/sitename Advantages/Disadvantages of Paid Hosting (+) Paid hosting gives you access to many different softwares (+) Paid hosts offer 24/7 support via email or live chat (+) Search engine rankings are better (+) Get unlimited bandwidth (+) You host your own domain (-) Paid hosting costs money (-) More complex than free hosting You can use these free hosting websites if you feel if free hosting is for you: Freewebs Weebly Geocities Of course there are more free hosting websites, but these are the most popular and easiest to use. Paid hosting companies vary in prices and features. They are relatively cheap, $5-10 a month and some offer forums, blog, etc. Here are three of many companies you can choose:
*If you like one of these companies, please sign up through my banner. I get something in return for referring you, thanks!*
Once you have your web hosting, you can use the templates they provide or get a web designer. One web designer I strongly recommend is Jen from Flow Designz. She is the greatest person ever. Jen created my awesome site and helped me learn a lot about having a web site. She designs a variety of things (websites, myspace, flyers, etc) and at a very good price. You can check out her website site here. What to Insert
First and most important of all, your content is the most important element of your blog/site. Content is the defining factor for a website and it should catch the interest of your visitors and keep them hooked to your site so make sure you have excellent content. It is one thing to have a blog/site, it is another to have a spectacular blog/site. Make sure your content is easy to read and follow. Write and structure your content in such a way that it is easy to read, understand, and follow. Don't let your visitors leave without making your point. You will definitely want to put video tutorials if you are going to put survey sites. You want to give your visitors as much knowledge on qualifying for surveys so that they can success. You can use my videos if you don't feel like creating your own but you need to contact me for permission. Next, should be proof of payment. I recommend you use your own payment proof because than visitors will know you have some experience with whatever you're vouching and it's not just copy/paste. The last thing I can thing of right now is contact information. It makes you appear more legit and it assures your visitors that you are here to help and guide them in the right direction. How to Promote
Okay, you got your blog/site. Now its time to let the search engines know your blog/site even exists. Submit your URL to the following search engines: Google.com
Yahoo.com MSN.com DXPnet.com FindOnce.com SearchIt.com InfoTiger.com Amfibi.com ExactSeek.com AddPro.com Shoula.com SubmitExpress.com It is a good idea to re-submit your URL once a month. Add your URL link anywhere you can around the internet. This is called backlinking. Search engines often use the number of backlinks that a website has as one of the factors for determining that website's search engine ranking. I recommend searching SEO (search engine optimization) tips and tricks if you want to learn more about getting on the top. Another way to promote your site is offline. Local offline marketing can be very effective to drive traffic to your blog/site. I have found that business cards and t-shirts are great tools. Here is a site that are giving away 250 business cards, 1 t-shirt, and other products for free! You only have to pay for S&H. You get to design your product and shirt right from their site. I got 250 business cards, 50 postcards (I stick them in the driver's window on cars), and a t-shirt all for less than $11. Check out this wonderful site: Try not to just hand out business cards. Strike up conversations with people. A great place is to do this at a gas pump. it?s easy to start conversations with people about what you are doing to earn more money to combat the high price of gas. Here is a list of smaller, but still effective methods of promoting your blog/site:
I wish you the best of luck! |
